Hola Madrid!

Hallo ihr Lieben,

vor zwei Wochen stand nun endlich mein Jahresurlaub an, der mich dieses Jahr in die spanische Hauptstadt führte.

Die Stadt ist riesig und pulsierend, so dass man schnell das Gefühl bekommt, in einer Metropole wie New York zu sein. Doch nur wenige Schritte entfernt kann man im Parque del Buen Retiro wie der Name schon sagt "gut entspannen". 

Wenn ihr mal nach Madrid fliegt empfehle ich euch, vor Reiseantritt eine Madrid Card via Internet zu kaufen, die ihr dann u.a. am Flughafen abholen könnt. Dazu bekommt ihr einen Stadtführer und zusammen mit der Metrokarte könnt ihr euch quasi bargeldlos in der Stadt bewegen. Jede große Attraktion ist inklusive, ihr solltet euch allerdings vorher über die genauen Öffnungszeiten erkundigen, da die nicht immer übereinstimmen. 

Die Menschen in Madrid sind sehr freundlich und so hatte ich eine wirklich tolle Zeit in dieser Stadt, die zumindest wenig schläft;) 

Die nächsten Wochen zeige ich euch wieder meine Highlights, und heute direkt den Retiro, weil es mich dort jeden Tag hingezogen hat, wenn ich einfach wieder ein paar ruhige Momente brauchte.

two weeks ago i finally took off to go on summer vacation, to the spanish capital. 

The city is huge and pulsating, so quickly i had the feeling of being in a place like New York. But just a few steps away is the Parque del Buen Retiro, where you can "good relax" like the name is saying. 

I recommend to buy a Madrid Card with metro ticket before you take off from home. With this ticket you can nearly enter the city buy paying without cash. Almost every famous attraction is inclusive, you should only check the opening hours, because the city guide wasn't correct all the time. 

The people in Madrid are so nice that i really had a beautiful time in the city that only sometimes sleeps. ;)

In the next weeks i will show you my highlights of course and today i will start with the already mentioned Retiro, because i went there every day to get some quiet moments.
