Hoch hinaus
Hallo ihr Lieben,
heute möchte ich euch ein paar Tips geben um in Madrid nicht in die Geldfalle zu tappen.
Wer in Madrid ein bisschen Geld sparen möchte, kann durchaus auf die 20-Euro teuere Stadtrundfahrt verzichten, denn es gibt die Buslinie 27, die vom Hauptbahnhof Atocha zu den Cuatros Torres, dem Merkmal des madrilenischen Bankenviertels fährt.
Man bekommt zwar keine Erklärungen, jedoch erklärt sich vieles ja auch von selbst und es gibt WLAN im Bus, sodass man bei Bedarf auch selbst Stadtführer spielen kann ;)
Der Bahnhof Atocha ist nicht nur einen Besuch wert, wenn man mit dem Zug fahren möchte, auch ohne gültiges Ticket sollte man den zentralgelegenen Ort besichtigen. Inmitten der Empfangshalle bekommt man schnell das Dschungelfeeling, da dort meterhohe Urwaldpflanzen emporragen und sogar eine Wasseranlage mit Schildkröten etc eingerichtet wurde.
Von Atocha aus fährt man ca 50 Minuten bis zu den Kio Torres, die wie ein Tor das Bankenviertel umzäunen. Sie fallen durch ihre besondere Form auf, man denkt von weitem, dass sie auf einander zu fallen oder ein X bilden, aber keines von beidem stimmt :-)
Von den 4 Türmen aus kann man auf den Casa del Campo schauen,da wo ich letztes Jahr mit der Seilbahn hingefahren bin. Das faszinierende ist, dass rings um die 4 Türme eine Park angelegt wurde und wenn man in diesem entlang spaziert hört man nichts von dem Lärm der mehrspurigen Schnellstraße die vor den Türmen lang geht.

today I want to show you some more pictures from Madrid.
If you want to save some money you can refrain from taking the expensive bus tour and go for a ride with the bus line 27 which starts at the main station Atocha, and ends at the bank district in the north of Madrid. Even though you wont get any descriptions of what you see, there is free Wi-Fi in the bus so you can be the tour guide by yourself ;)
The station Atocha is not only worth a visit if you want to travel by train, even without a valid ticket you should go there. In the middle of the entrance you can feel the djungle, with a few large plants and a kinda water hole with turtles.
From Atocha it takes approx. 50 minutes to the Kio Towers, which mark a gate to the bank district. They look really special, from a distance you could think they collapse with each other or they form an "X" but it´s none of it. :)
From the 4 towers you can see the Casa del Campo, where I went to last year by cable car . The fascinating fact is, that they created a park around the 4 towers and when you stroll trough it you won´t here any sound from the highway in front of the towers.
